360iDev – Speaker Chat tomorrow! Owen Goss

We met Owen at the first 360|iDev, he’s a great guy, and subscribes to the same transparency model we do, writing awesome blog posts about his experiences writing and making a living on his apps. Even though he couldn’t make it to 360|iDev Denver, he spent the night on Skype doing the game Jam remotely! Talk about dedication to the cause and community!

360iDev – Who attends 360idev?

360|iDev, since it’s beginning has attracted an awesome mix of people. The first conference in 2009, had several sessions, including a sunday Hands-On about Jailbreaking, and what you can do in the jailbroken environment. We also had tons of people who had just put 1 or 2 apps in the store, we had a few [...]

360iDev – Wiki

If you saw the announcement of BOF sessions, you know we have a wiki we use for the ad hoc stuff around the conference.

We updated the wiki for one more bit of ad hoc. Activities.

If you’re planning a trip to the mothership or hitting a specific bar one night, or a movie on Wednesday or lunch on Saturday before the conference, whatever. Post it on the activities page of the wiki.

This way folks looking for the fun, can find it easily ;) It truly does suck to have to hunt for fun :)

On the main page of the wiki is also a few links for hotel searches in the area. If you missed the room block, shame on you, but we don’t want ya sleepin’ on the street, so check those links for other options.

360iDev – Recorded Speaker Chats

If you haven’t been able to join us for the last few speaker chats, you’re missing out. They’re great sources of information and a great way to get to know the speakers before 360|iDev.

360iDev – Publishers, books, authors oh my.

We haven’t really made much noise about this, but thought it was time to do so. We’ve got some awesome friends in publishing! What other event will you have O’Reilly, Manning, and Apress raffling books, giving away goodies, etc. Where else will so many authors of so many books be under on roof? I think [...]

360iDev Speaker apps highlighted

We’re just starting this initiative, so keep an eye on the apps page for frequent updates.

I’ll admit, this idea wasn’t ours, but we love it. We tell you often how incredible our speakers are, and their bios typically tell you about some of the apps they’ve built, but not always.

So from now on, and going back retroactively, we’re going to maintain a 360|iDev speaker apps page. Well organize it by “Class” ie. San Jose 2009, Denver 2009, San Jose 2010, etc. so the page will grow. It’ll be a place where attendees can see the calibre of our speakers, and hopefully a place our speakers can get a bit more exposure for their apps. We’ll display the app icon, name, and link to iTunes.

Hopefully this will help attendees and potential attendees (and even sponsors) realize the awesomeness of our speakers. They’re pros! and deserve as much recognition as we can give them!

360iDev Speaker Chat – Collin Donnell

Join us tomorrow for the next 360|iDev speaker chat. Collin Donnell is a 360|iDev Alum, having presented at all three conferences so far (Including San Jose ’10)

Tomorrow you’ll be able to ask Collin anything you like. He’s got plenty to share, you can also ask him the going exchange rate for pizza’s to freelance pay :D

Bookmark this link, tomorrow 12pm Mountain Time.

If you haven’t registered for 360|iDev, you’re missing out. We’ll be talking about things, that will be huge in 6 months. And of course if iPad development interests you, well we’re probably the first conference that will have hands-on the device and sessions geared towards this new exciting device. Use this link to register, help Collin get an awesome room at the Marriott

360iDev – Get your iPad Dev on!

So yeah, iPad this iPad that :) The best part of Apple’s new iPad, is that it runs the iPhone OS, that means our awesome speakers and attendees now have one more kick ass platform to write apps and games for.

That also means that 360|iDev is now THE event for developers writing apps for the iTouch, the iPhone, or the iPad. You won’t have to wait for WWDC, or for the next 360|iDev around the end of summer some time. You can get awesome iPad related sessions right now, this April.
