360idev – Get your iPhone training on in New York City!
Our pals, Julio Barros and Jeff LaMarche, are doing a 3 day hands-on iPhone training class in New York.
It’s 3 days, in New York, with two incredible developers! Check out the course plan here.
If you’re in or around New York, check out this course. You won’t find a better pair to teach you everything you need to know. After all Jeff’s book is one of the best intro to iPhone dev books around.
This will be an excellent way to jump start your iPhone development, and then of course, you can top off your mental tank at 360|iDev Austin! Register now for $499!
360|iDev – Announcing 360|iDev Austin!
Talk about cutting it close! If you were at WWDC last year you might recall us making a lot of noise about 360|iDev Denver. Well I’m glad to announce the we’ve committed to a hotel and a set of dates, and we’re ready to go!! Austin TX. The week of November 8th! (I’ll be posting [...]
360iDev – So… 360|Mac?
Interesting times, no?
It’s sad to see Wolf close up C4. Sad to see Apple basically snub it’s nose at the mac desktop crowd.
Makes me wonder if (I’ve entertained this thought a few times) there should be a 360|Mac? Aimed specifically at the desktop app builders, bringing the same great content (Maybe more/better parties) the iPhone community has come to expect.
Nothing is firm, this is more just my thinking out loud post. I do love Mac desktop apps, I do think it’s a bummer that Apple is focusing all of WWDC on the iPhone.
What do you think? Point your mac dev friends to this post. if there’s interest, let’s do it.
360iDev – The Session Videos
OK I know it’s taken some time, and truthfully, they’re not all there yet.
BUT.
As of right now, all videos that have been processed are available for sale here. Each video is $4.99
They’re direct downloads, so when you purchase them you get the file. No DRM bullshit or anything like that.
As always, feel free to share with the guy in the next cube, but don’t be a dick and put these up on bitTorrent!
I’m still working as fast as possible to get the videos processed into something that’s purchasable. Some sessions, may never get released I’m afraid, as the video just wasn’t there, I want to make sure that if the video is up for sale, i’d buy it myself. Maybe those’ll be free, I dunno.
At any rate, book mark the page. It’s going to be the main repo for all events moving forward.
I’m really glad we finally got this system figured out, and moving forward, it’ll be much easier!
Remember attendees get access to the videos for free! Not only do you see this awesome stuff live, but you get the videos to watch later completely free.
360idev – Hang out/recharge during WWDC
I’ll be in San Francisco the week of WWDC with a room at the Marriott.
This year I won’t be attending the conference, but will be still doing the USB drive Scavenger hunt.
I’ll also be making my room available during the day for anyone that wants to hang out, take a break from WWDC, grab a red bull or granola bar, etc. Hopefully this is useful for the folks who’s hotels aren’t as close to Moscone. Maybe you want to drop your bag off for a little while, etc.
Think of it as a small hospitality suite across the street from WWDC.
I’ll post some more details, but wanted to get the word out, that my door would be open.
The USB drive scavenger hunt is gonna be fun. Last year we had 8 drives, and all but one were found. Each drive has a free pass to the next 360|iDev, as well as tons of promo codes for apps. They’ll be hidden around Moscone center, during the week, and I’ll be tweeting clues and pictures about the locations.
Also, we’ll be selling super early bird, half off tickets to the next 360|iDev, so if you’re thinking of going, this is a great way to make sure you get the best price!
See you in San Francisco!
360idev – the wrap up
Well, 360|iDev San Jose has come and gone. And while I work on the fall event. You know the one right after WWDC (assuming it’s announced soon) where we all publicly talk about the cool NDA stuff we’ve been playing with for months. You can enjoy the awesome session materials from San Jose. Download the [...]
The Question is, 360iDev Europe?
Some of you might know that we’ve been thinking about taking 360|iDev overseas. We’ve done it once (and are planning to again) with 360|Flex.
We think it’s about time Europe got a taste of 360|iDev. The question is. Where? and how big is iPhone development in Europe?
We’re looking at Amsterdam and Germany, but are open to other ideas. The big question is, is there enough interest.
We very badly want to take the fun and awesome that is 360|iDev to Europe, but need to know there’s enough interest in Europe.
So what do you guys on the other side of the pond think?
Where should we go? Is Europe ready?
Spread this post around, leave comments, etc. We’re actively looking for as much data as we can get. Usergroup membership numbers, etc. It all helps ensure we do this right, and deliver the most kick ass iPhone conference Europe has ever seen :) (Dream big, right!)
I’m Joining Your Ranks: A Note from Tom

360iDev – What to do when you arrive
We’re not GDC, or WWDC. There’s no waiting in a mile long line to get in, there’s not sea of thousands to wade through to get your badge. What there is, is 3-4 people working the registration desk. You can pick up your badge all day Sunday if you want to avoid the rush. If [...]
